Nice pics, Good work bead on the pan looks good. hard to tell on the pan but the top of the fliter looks like mine did lots of fine gray powder.

only thing left is the two bolts for the front plate?

Actually Raven, that is a new pan in the final pics. I ordered from Dan and decided to just go with a new one as opposed to keeping the old one with the screwed up drain plug. I am thinking of fixing it and using it as a spare, if I ever need one.

But from the old pan, yes, there was a considerable amount of fine grained, powder like stuff from inside of the tranny I assume. The magnets in the final pic. are transferred from the old pan too.

Well, I sort of left those for 'later.' I really wanted the truck off the jack stands and on the road. So I screwed in the two good bolts for the front plate and used a tie to hold the end up that had the screwed torqued off. I deal with that at the next PM round of belts, fuel filter, and hoses (I'm thinking of doing new hoses in the entire engine cabin here soon.).

great steps and pics...will be doing the tranny pan, phh, and belts as the temps warm up here.
