Can anyone help as to how to remove the stock roof rails on the 2009 LC? It looks like there are a couple of screwdriver slots on the ends, but probing and prying lightly didn't get a result. I didn't want to screw up a new LC, so any info?
Well if you do get them off, it sounds like you have a market in Israel for them

The following link may help, there are detailed instructions on how to install the roof rack. You will need to search the V8 LC200 and all accesories. Scroll to the "Roof Rails" and open the attachment. It is a PDF instruction manual for installing the roof rails. If you follow it in reverse, it should give you the correct instructions for removing.

I just removed mine and it was very easy, as long as you have one very expensive specialty tool:
Hard to find these things but I'm sure if you dig around in your tool chest or kitchen drawer, you'll find one. Fits nicely into tabs and pops cover right off.

Ummm you do know that is a $0.99 thing right? It is a paint can opener. You can find it at any hardware store.

I know. Funny thing is, I used to have what seemed like dozens of these, collected through the yrs each time I painted a room. I've since tossed them out except this one. Never thought I would find another use for them execpt beer and paint. Who knew. May have to tie this one to the rig.
