We had a storm with 80 mph winds and the neighbors tree is down. Now when it starts, it runs for a few seconds and dies. I noticed that there is a vacuum in the fuel tank when I remove the cap. Before I take a small metric drill bit and drill a hole in the gas cap, is there another place I should look for gas tank venting? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Double check, you should have pressure in the tank.

I gave up and took it to my neighbor who is a diesel mechanic. He wasn't allowed to work on it until his basement was finished. He brought it back today and it was running well. He replaced the spark plug
