Your neighbors would really appreciate them in the yard. :D

Hell ya - if they were 45's I'd be in KC with a semi loading them up right in front of you!

No...... If they were 45's this would not have posted til they were safely stored in Goddard, KS and the post would have been "Look what I scored in KC today suckas :flipoff2:"

I bid on them too and before I read this thread, and then when it was over, I recognized the name from here. Pretty good deal he got himself there.

Congrats Alex. It looks like a project waiting to happen. Let me know if you need any help.

Hey Alex...did a VW bug come with this purchase. Gotta keep the Miss happy you know...

Or did you convince her two pigs are better than one bug.

Brian: you can't have all the sweet deals around here...:flipoff2:...you have enough project the way it is.;)

It would have been purrrfect. I would have had a whole stable of them. I've always liked the FJ55. We never had any in South Africa that I recall.

As for projects, I have the '84 60 almost done mechanically. Will finish desmog tonight. She should be all ready to roll. Then start the cosmetics. Carpet, tuffy and such. All there, just need to git er dun! Still need the gears changed, but will do it sometime later.

The '85 60 is next. I have a new head, and hopefully that is all it will need mechanically. I will know once I tear into it. Then the 4"Alcans, some bigger meats.

Then there's the 40..... that's a total different story. Just started axle/knuckle rebuild and all new brake parts with stainless lines.

Peace

Thanks guys.

Randy, she's getting a '66 beetle on Friday so that makes up for my buying the pigs first.

Scott thanks for offer of help!

I wish I could have bid on them on the first auction and got them a little cheaper but oh well. Good price. I just have to get them up here now. I was planning on renting a trailer and getting one at a time one weekend. Right now I don't plan to use 'em as trail rigs, just fix one up to have and drive around once in a while. I'll make sure to post some sweet pics up when I get them.
