Gumby's comments in the "What did you do to your piggy?" thread got me thinking.

How much body roll is too much? I had the opportunity to follow behind my '55 while I brought a car home for my son. It seems the '55 rolls more one way than the other. Have others experienced that as well?

I have the sway bar connected on both ends and the rubber bushings are new within the last few years. Do these pics look normal? Both are roughly the same speed just opposite corners.

It's a big top heavy leaf sprung SUV. It's gonna roll at speed. Stiffer springs or shocks will help, but at a cost of ride quality.

My junk doesn't count. It's so non-stock it isn't even road worthy. 4 link with coils on all corners and sprung for maximum flex.

I realize that. Maybe I need to follow behind the BJ60 and see how it rolls in the corners.

That looks like nothing... but some things to keep in mind is tire pressure will play a good part in "body" roll.

Have the stock swaybar in back? Keep in mind there is a reason those greedy 40 guys want stock FJ55 rear springs:lol:

My 35s at about 30psi feels really off. I'm hoping 35psi will make all the difference.

Stock sway bar is in place and bushings are in good shape. Tires in these pics are 235/75/15 radials (stock tire size) running at about 32psi cold. Springs are Spector 2 1/2" lift springs and 1" over shackles.

Hi Charles, I fell even more roll, since I have SOA,I have a stock front sway bar from a FJ60 that a am planig to install, and I think that may gone give some some improvement, better split the roll force bettwen 2 sway bar, I let you know if that helps.
:)

Charles (stupid question I know). I this actual roll not just the infamous land cruiser left lean?

Eric I think you touch a good point, but the lean you feels even when you are driving straight on the highway, here in Costa Rica the 80% of the 70´s are leaning left becouse of the bad roads, but any ways, suspension is a test-fail science.

It's not really noticeable when standing still but who knows.
