So I just thought of a brilliant idea! Since other people have lots of money and I don't... And the people with money like to make money with their money... We could start a mutual fund type thing that would return good money and keep the cost of pig restoration down!

So an Iron Pig Preservation Society (ipps) member finds a pig for supper cheap in their area but cannot afford it and/or their significant other will not approve the purchase. Then another ipps member with more liquid assets buys it and parts are dispersed or it is stored until the market value matures.

Who's with me? Anyone? Anyone?

Quoted in international stock exchange? NY, London, Paris, Singapour, Tokyo..

a pig EXCHANGE? why do you hate uhmerica?

I met a few, but they didn't understand the words falling out of my face. I could totally get what they were sayin tho, kinda like dutch and german...

it is stored until the market value matures.

I have 'stored' Pig parts in a 300 SF unit for over two years.....at a cost/loss of $229 a month.

There'll never be a day that market value can exceed that, and I can't GIVE it away for free, with offers to help load it....

It is thoughts like this that make me glad I don't have any usable land

Net total, my Cruiser cache is costing $1,019.00 per month, in lost revenue.....

No, I'm not taking the money out of my pocket to pay, because I own the facilities where stored, but I can't continue hoard at a cost of $12,228.00 annually in lost revenue......yet I can't bring myself to throw it away.

So, @Napster or anyone else that's like to store up Cruiser karma, I'll offer up free inventory to begin the noble deed and even help you load it.

Had to pay to get the '71 parts pig drug across town, just to get it out of my shop, so I will do all I can to ensure a lucrative, gifting transaction, even if I have to pull cold hard cash out of my pocket to be rid of this crap, guilt free.

Delancy, your cruiser storage unit is bigger than my garage

The 300SF is what's allocated to Pigchit.....all said, have 1,100SF of Cruiserspace.

Not bragging, but stated in shame, as my personal garage is half full of 40 'stuff', which isn't included in the above.

I keep waiting for an intervention team, film crew in tow, to catch me unaware and wind up on a TLC show.

This is just the kind of discussion I was hoping for! you guys are hilarious. $12,000 a year could buy a few acres in Arizona and we could all store parts there. Put in some surveillance equipment so we can monitor the security from the comfort of any of our homes. Charge a $50 per year membership fee that will get you access to the goods. I think this could work out well!

Lemme know the address of the land and I'll donate a few tons of Pigchit to get the party started.

What's sad is, I have two or three early hoods in good shape, but need a late.

All kinds of early doors, but need late.

What I have is what I don't need.

OK @Napster, cuz we're old-school here, no cameras, but simply an old Knight and his junk yard dog to keep watch. Plus, he could pull parts for other 55 freaks across the country ;) anyone looking for a retirement gig?

Who the F--k owns a garage?

In honesty, building a satellite facility, now, and have a little something up my sleeve.

Going to attempt to have (5) units that aren't in the system, that I'll number 40,55,73,75,80 respectively.

It's the only way I can continue to enjoy Cruisers, without the quantity reflecting in nearly equal expenditures by Mrs. D, and she isn't receptive to having an 'off-site' closet, nor do I want to move.
