Since this post is a year old I will hijack it. I'm trying to figure out the "H" and "V" knob. I've read the plate on the heater box so i have an idea on how to operate it.

"H" knob controls the fan speed and this is a switch?

"V" Knob is a cable. where does this go?

What knob controls the Heater Valve?

The previous owner removed the the heater, so I'm trying to piece one together. It gets cold out here in California.;)

Not sure about years (Ive had 62, 63, and non-stock 69) but early LC do not have a remote control cable on the Heater (water) valve. I don't even know when or if they they started? You turn it on in fall and off in spring.

The V is for vent. The vent is a pull cable that goes to a small door on the right side of the firewall. This allows fresh air to come into the cabin. If you close this, the air is redirected through the heater blower.

I am not sure what the H stands for (something prob obvious). Each one controls either the front or rear blower.
