Pics please of your carb linkage

Boy I am pretty close, I think I need one more part. I know I owe a few guys some postage, (Nuclearlemon) I will get it in the mail this weekend.

Can someone take a few shots of how their gas pedal and linkage to the carb is hooked up.


I cant find a good photo in the haynes or TLC bible. I think I still need one part but I am very close.

What year model for what type of vehicle? Do you have a cable linkage or the rod linkage in newer cruisers?

I have checked spectors diagram, I am pretty sure I am missing another connecting rod.

Texoma, Its a newer linkage style set up. but its going into a 1970 body so I have to mount the pedal itself. I have a trans planted 75 2f that runs the linkage set up.

I will still be in Columbus but now that it is raining I will not be in my 40.

Now we are getting there. the top piece going almost into the firewall shaped has a bend in it shaped in a U. Spector says its a Carb acellerator Rod. Where do both ends of that hook up? I think part toward the firewall hooks to the linkage which hooks to the pedal itself, through the firewall, and the other is where I am lost. Is there any way to take a shot of the lower end of this linkage. From say that U shaped part, right up next to the carb?
Almost like your shooting a side view through the master brake cylinder.

Best shots I can get. I have tried about 15 times and I cannot focus or get at the angle I think you need.

MONEY SHOTS!! I think thats exactly what I needed. There is a piece that goes on the back side (engine compartment side) of the firewall with a plunger of sorts. I have that part too and now I think it makes sense.


I will see how it goes this weekend and reply back on tuesday.
