For any knife guys out there I went to the Cold Steel parking lot sale in Ventura, CA this weekend and scooped up some good deals on some knives. One in particular is my fixed blade Mini-Tac Knife.

I thought of about 3 different uses for them so I got two just because I could and because I got paid the day before! ;p

Anyways I found that it is a nice little addition to my Tactical Vest as well as a excellent add on to my bug out bag /backpack and for sure be a good addition to anyone's camping /survival gear. So far a good sturdy set up, sharp out of the box and good for cutting 550 cord, steak etc.

Just curious. I, too, fall into this trap of preparing for the worst. However, I recently cleaned out my "stuff" cabinet and found I had enough straight-blade, tactical knives to arm a division. What I am going to do? I only have two hands.

I'd bet a lot of members here have the Boy Scout motto of always being prepared firmly implanted in them. I wonder how many actually have any reasonable need for the gear they buy versus how many are preparing for events that could possibly, but reasonably never happen. Not judging . . . just asking. I know some military guys, and, unfortunately for them, they sometimes need more than a few fight knives. Wet work ain't my thing.

Yeah this stuff isint purely military, my brother and many friends serve in different branches so I get alot of stuff frome them as well! But I hunt alot, (upland game, and varmint) So my back back is always geared up, my tac vests came from a airforce reserve guy because I work with him through the local Sheriffs department which I train regularly with so the need to have vests serve as a dual purpose for law enforcement and zombie preparedness (which i look forward to)
But Hkeller I agree I to have to many knives to use, What i try to do is sell some on craigslist (which really pains me) and sometimes and net a decent profit from knives I no longer use.
Devilmans Hand: I believe it is the g10 texture, the one that you can hold a grip on even when its wet or oily etc.

Knives go up in value. The US dollar and stock markets do not. Stock up :flipoff2:
