Sold, my original 200
$8500 seems alot for service unless he is counting $4000 for synthetic oil changes for 200k miles. The hidden cost of owning a 200 is the money spent on oil & gas.

I don't think it's difficult at all to get to $8500 after 214,000 miles.
Likely:
Radiator replacement...
Starter...
Water Pump...
Battery...
Fluid changes...
Alignments...
Brakes/rotors...
Tires...(at least three sets)...
And of course oil changes.
Easy money...

You are correct BUT from my personal experience a local indy did all of those for me except water pump/tires for less than $2.5k (I'm at 220k miles too and my car drives like new). The $tealership really rapes you. That is what I was referring to. $8500 is reasonable if that was the total for the entire life of the vehicle.
