Petrol smell

Hi,
I hate to bore you all again but I just can't find anyone to cure the petrol smell in my LC. ( Which everyone thinks is caused by the charcoal canister ).
Does anyone know if it is possible to bypass the canister and if so, how can it be done safely?

Dominic, have you check the entire evap system? I had mentioned to someone (maybe you?) to check the driver’s side for any problems.
Sorry, I just went and took a peak at the system I’m talking about and now thinking it is the charcoal canister.
Was your canister mounted next to the fender drivers side? Mine was making strange gurgling noise once but never smelled of gas.
