Just to share with you guys. I just installed a set of performance friction brake pad on my 95 FZJ 80. The difference is night and day. My truck will stop instantly when I press on the pedal, much improve from factory pad. I feel more in control and stop with confidence now. :) ohh yea, Autozone carries them for like $42.99

What brand are these pads and what is their compound? I'd like to do the same but not at the expense of warping my rotors.

The one I got is Carbon Metallic.

What about those newly installed SS brakelines? I think those help a bit, too. :flipoff2:

I guess they help :D Feel firmer on the pedal, not sure how much it help!! :bounce:

Did you install 80 series pads or 100 series? Were rotors turned, replaced, or smooth enough to just slap in new pads and go?

Is 80 series pad, I used my old rotor without turning. It turns out fine with no vibration at all. I bought this pad for my 4runner a year ago, but never install it, so I just give it a try after I got my 80.
