I must say I'm a little blue I've still not got the truck sorted. Ken gave me three 60 front calipers so I could replace the too large 4 runner calipers on the rear discs.

great, but all have half their pistons seized. my efforts with air, heat etc have still not got all the pistons out, and I figure those cylinders ain't going to be good looking.

so the 60 may be a wee bit longer...again.

Apparently this is teaching me patience...sigh.

Have a good NEw YEar's run, everyone that makes it out.

as long as you have something to put in the box for core, new ones aren't hideously expensive ...dont remember what my last set cost, but I want to say about 80 bucks each.

when I had 4 wheel discs with a ff rear, I had a rotation going on, when one caliper s*** the bed, I'd buy a pair, put the new ones up front, and the best two remaining back aft...

Brakes are important. Do it the right way. At least you go some cores to soften the blow when the bill comes. Actually the last time I got 4runner calipers I put my old landcruiser calipers in the core box and no one said anything.

You could keep the used 60 calipers, get new 60 calipers for the rear and return the 4runner calipers as cores.

60 bux is even better( probably what I paid...but my thinker don't remember too good)

and yeah, they don't pay much attention to what you put in the core box, any rusty piece of s*** that generally resembles a caliper and they'll take it...

Done.

Turned in the two worst 60 calipers, got two new.
Hub seals and wheel bearings done.

The good caliper from the rear will go on the front now, a bit of clean up, new pads, bleeding and i'll be stopping well. course all that will take me a bit.

thanks for the advice.
