Not sure which of the TX clubs to ask this question to... Please move to the right club if you don't mind.

I'm going to be passing through heading out to the Grand Canyon and then to Southern Utah in the spring and am curious if there are any relatively close/good camping spots in the Amarillo, TX area off I-40?

Trying to camp as much as possible and not use hotels.

Doesn't have to be primitive, i'll pay $10 for a camp spot with a shower...Mostly looking for a nice spot to pull off the road after driving 9 hours for an overnight stay, get up in the morning and keep rolling.

Any suggestions? Was kind of looking in the Palo Duro Canyon area but that is about 25 miles off the highway. I also guess in Texas distance that's not far at all.

A little to far West of us for me to have any knowledge of any out there. Palo Duro State Park may be a good bet though.
