Does anyone around the Wichita area have a parts pig or know of one? (Within a few hours dirve) I need few things. 1972 or earlier would be best. However, I do need some 2F stuff too.....LMK.....

What are you looking for? Pigs and others in that era share many of the same parts. You list specific parts and we can probably help out.

how about a choke cable and a 78 distributor with all the fixins? Got my new Jim C carb too and the landshark is still struggling to stay afloat! Getting frustrated!.....and broke.

Choke cable I can probably come up with .. 78 dist probably not going to part with if I have one. that's the small head electronic dist. Simpler to convert yours to electronic with a kit from Mark's off road than to source a 78 dist.
If you still need a choke cable lemme know. amazingly enough I might even have one off a piggy in the garage. need to know length of the metal sheath to match. What's wrong with yours? most of the time the metal sheath removes itself from the assembly, can be brazed back together with acid core solder if that's what's wrong with it.

Mine is a bit too short.....new Jim C carb. Changed from the existing Rochester to an Aisan....

measure what you have or picture and measure and I can try and dig this week. retail season is over finally!

Here is what I have it measures 29.5 inches long from tip to tip! Let me know what you have... I only need it to be about an inch or two longer!

Regarding my distributor, it seems the vacuum advance is dead and not vacuumng or advancing....

Thanks .... I appreciate your help!

Sorry. Didnt' log in the WHOLE weekend.. have been getting over a cold the last 2 weeks as well so took it easy. I'll try to dig out boxes and find the cables. I'm working Monday and tuesday evenings so it'll probably be thurs before i have any free time in an evening.

If when I get a chance and what I have doesn't work you can easily modify what you have to work. Should be a pto "sheath" or a brake line sheath from a bicycle, epoxyed into the housing of the choke cable housing and change the inside metal line to one longer. Probably need to learn to braze with acid core solder.. I fixed a choke cable in college on my Fj40 once that way. I was poor and there was no internet and beer was more important.
Course I also drove for about 2 weeks with a kite string and a stick coming thru the louvers in the hood attached to my carb cause i broke a throttle cable. NOT advised. Really hard to shift, steer and control throttle.

Maybe I will try that. I still like beer....15 years after college! Thanks for the info. I guess I will have to buy a solder gun!

all choke cables in the stash are the same length. but have 3-4 different fresh pulls that are different lengths going up to 36" and they would probably work fine. lemme know.

I"ll bring the stash to the meeting so you can decide if something would help.
