Is there any place to get a clutch kit with rear main seal here in the states for a 1985 BJ70? I also need an exhaust manifold gasket but not sure if they are different for the 3B and 13BT. I have a 13BT manifold so if it makes a difference, I need the one for that.

I called the local Toyota dealer and gave them the part #'s. They said that since it was a Canadian model vehicle, they can't sell me the parts even though there is a Toyota warehouse in Cali that has all the parts that I need. The local Toyota dealer said that the warehouse won't even sell or deliver the parts to them.

Anybody heard of this before?

Where the hell can I find the parts that I need, Canadian Toyota dealer?

Any help greatly appreciated.

cruiserdan in New Mexico (see advertising vendors)

or

John Hocker at Sierra Toyota (520) 458-8880

If the parts you need are in California these guys can get them, hell if the parts are not in dealer daily and are in japan they can get them.

Hey John!

How's Rusty? Never heard that before in regards to local Toyota dealer. I ordered from CDan, who got them from the Ontario, Kali warehouse. Sometimes, I would have to give the VIN for the order to process.

Other times, I ordered from Molle Toyota in Kansas City and Sheldon. I also called up some Canadian dealers who could supply parts as well, but never ordered from one of them. Never had a problem with parts, except the obtaining rear quarters.

Let me know how the conversion is going, I was just thinking about that today as a matter of fact!

Cheers!

Hey Jason,
Rusty is well...........rusty. It is sitting for right now. We still have not pulled the engine. Jeremiah drove it with the diesel in it and really like it in stock form. So, I was looking for another Toyota diesel for the 55 but did not find anything reasonable. So, back to the original plan of yanking the 3B and putting it into my 55. The 70 will live on with a SBC 350.

I will call C-Dan tomorrow to see what he can get me. Thanks.
