Can you help me. Looking for 2 parts #'s that are very elusive.

Rocker arm piece and oil pump mount piece-----

On the Rocker arm, there is a plug on each end. The mechanic helping me on this rebuild called it a "welch" plug. basically a freeze plug on each end. I needed to clean inside the rod (toyota# 13901-61020) so we had to drill out the plug to get it out of the rod. Now i need to replace the plug but O'Reilly's doesn't have the correct size. any idea if this is a direct buy part from Toyota or do i just have to keep hunting for the correct size plug from another source?

Another one:

Oil Pump mounting block -- best I can tell, this is what it is called. the cylinder block breakdown doesn't have a part # beside it. What I am looking for is the bolt and washer that holds the mount block on. Actually only need the 2 washers. It is a metal washer with an embedded oil ring. can't tell from the picture and the description gives nothing other than *** STD. PART. is this the part I am looking for? toyota# 94712-91200 or # 91615-40820 . The mounting block is shown on the link below. beside this, the two part#'s there. but there is no number beside the block, or on the oil pump page.

again, I don't need the block, just the washers that are on the bolts that hold it on.

hope you can help. No prize or grade for this pop quiz, just a thank you!

Searching "Welch Plug" turned up this:

"A brief bit of totally obscure history that I am one of the few living persons who knows.

My family business, established in Pontiac, Michigan in 1905, is the original manufacturer of the "Welch" plug. The Welch brothers had a motor car company at the turn of the century that was later bought by General Motors - the Welch Motor Car company. They would run the cars around Pontiac to "break them in."

At that time core holes in the engine blocks were fitted with pipe plugs. During one of these run-ins a pipe plug backed out. In order to get back on the road one of the brothers drove a quarter or half dollar into the hole. From this they developed the Welch plug, some with the help of my Great Grandfather Martin Hubbard. They then patented the plug and the M.D. Hubbard Spring Company become the sole manufacturer of the Welch plug for the life of the patent. To this day we have the largest range of sizes available anywhere."

And a link: Expansion Plugs on Hubbard, M. D., Spring Co., Inc.
Failing that, you might also call Pioneer Automotive Products about those plugs. And possibly those washers too.

I know this is an old thread but one of only two I could find referencing this part. Hopefully it saves someone else time in the future.

94712-91200 is discontinued from Toyota with no successor. After some scouring of parts lists, I found a Lexus part number for the same item. 90210-11002 is a 12mm ID, 18mm OD bonded sealing washer and fits the M12 bolt to mount the oil pump through the block. The picture is the bolt (which is staked at the end to keep it from coming out), the original washer that disintegrated when I removed it and a generic M12 washer from a kit on Amazon. The generic one was not the same inner diameter or outer diameter. I only wanted to do this once and opted for the $6 replacement from Lexus instead of testing the cheap Chinese version.

I needed for a 1974 FJ40 F engine, for what it's worth. Hope it helps!

@Sparkman86
Did you remove these bolts without issue when replacing the seals? I need to do mine and was hoping to do one at a time without messing up alignment

They came out and went back in without any issues. My distributor went right back in and spins like it did before I took it out. You could probably even insert the distributor while you reinstall the bolts to keep things in line.

You'll need to drop the oil pan though. Since there are no locking washers because of the seals, there is nothing to keep them from vibrating loose from the running engine. Once you get them torqued back in, stake the ends from inside the block with a small punch.

Thanks! So removing the pan even if removing and reinstalling the same staked bolts? Do you think thread sealant is an option to avoid removing pan.
