As part of my rebuild of new engine for our Prado 95 series here in Australia I am going to switch the engine harness over to a MicroSquirt ECU. Reasons for doing this is that the original ECU didn't come with much in the way of diagnostics or O2 sensors. A bit more data and a slightly smarter computer might have helped the previous motor last quite a bit longer. It was basically choked to death by the open loop in which the ECU is running with no O2 sensors is my take. Anyway that aside I was going to use one of the pigtail adapter boards supplied by rusEFI but I see that the 5VZ-FE board they supply they is for a different ECU ( has different connector on it for possibly Tacoma or later model ECU ). Anyway TLDR I am just wondering if anyone knows how I would identify the part number for the connector physically on the pcb for the ECU. I've opened it up and if it does have a part number stamped in then it is either on the underside or somewhere I cannot see it. I am going to assume it is either a Denso part number or a Tyco part number. I am not beyond buying another ECU with the same part number to pull the connector off. I'd then go ahead and make a pig tail board just like RUEFI makes but to fit this connector. Yadda yadda yadda. Kicad. PCB print. Blah :)
