X2 Mace

I purchased the "longevity Entertainment" version of the same machine. What can I say...saved another $100.00!

I have a similar experience. Works good for me. Cut a lot of 8x2x1/4 box tube and 1/4" flat stock with no issues and minimal cleanup! It is more temperamental than some of the machines I've used at work but it is nearly 1/2 the price (Hawaii = name brand mainland $ x 1.75). I've lent it out and/or used it on the job a few times with mixed results. Most of my crew doesn't like it. It should be stated that these same guys have overall poor technique anyway. Or are prone to bucking anything new. If any are reading you know who you are! LOL

I would not buy any version of 40 amp machine for general use work purposes. Having said that, It is an excellent machine for my personal en devours. Or for the user willing to learn and live with some of it's eccentricities. Don't forget, this is an arc, tig (w. hi-freq start) and plazma in one light weight unit!

FYI: the consumables issue raised on the other site is a lack of shopping around. Just bought an 80 pc. consumables set for $40. landed price!
