Paradise Ride In Hammond, LA August 9th & 10th
In case some of you gentleman were looking for something to do
Toyota event hosted by AWOL/Bayou State Land Cruiser Association
This event will follow AWOL's Paradise Excursion format and will be a two day event. Registration will consist of signing a waiver and a $10.00 per members vehicle donation, $15.00 for non-member vehicles.
The trails will be ridden once in the afternoon and then again after dinner. After the sun has gone down the night ride has been singled out as the most luring part of the event. After the night ride, everyone can gather around the bonfires in one of the two different areas of the property. One site at the Beach and the other in the Campsite area.
Dinner and breakfast will be provided by AWOL at $5.00 per meal ticket.
If you chose to stay the night, you should bring enough supplies to camp in a tent or sleep in your vehicle.
If you only wish to participate on Saturday day, you will be encouraged to ride both the trail runs on the property on Saturday, including the night ride. If you wish to ride Sunday only, registration will be worked out. The Sunday crew will be lead to the property by trail guides who will collect signed waivers and money.
The event will start with registration at Mikes Dawg House in Hammond at 12:00pm Saturday 9th.
It is recommended that everyone have lunch before 1:00. Mikes Dawg House has really good food and the service is awesome.
The convoy will leave for the Paradise Property at 1:00 pm.
Upon arrival at Paradise, everyone will have sufficient time to untrailer, drop off extra supplies and air down if necessary.
When all trail preparations are ready, we will embark on the trails.
When we make it back to the pavilion area we will setup camp. Those who wish to not participate in the night ride, could leave the property at that time if they wish. Everyone will be given more than enough time to eat dinner and prepare their 4x4's.
The Night Ride will begin roughly around 7:00 pm. The property will be ridden in its entirety.
If you wish to only ride on the Sunday Morning Run we will work this out. You can give the Trail Staff your donation and fill out your waiver. The waivers will be collected at the Trailhead.
The Morning Run will start after breakfast is served, around 9:30am.
All donations will go to AWOL which they will contribute a portion of the donations to a charity in BSLCA's name.
