use rocker paint!

I have done all my trucks, sand clean, Rubberized rockerguard, then some black paint over that to give the desired color you want, gloss or flat, the rockerguard lasts a long time and if sprayed at the right distance gives you a perfect texture, it looks great, oh and a little tip, finish the toyota writing off in some white paint!

Good luck!

Took mine off and painted them... I sanded them down and I used some rustolem plastic paint. It took well to the "chrome" trim and after 4 light coats I hit it with some rustolem matte enamal-3 coats. Looks relly good. I tried to scratch them and seems really soild. I figure if I get rock chipps down the road I can take them off and sand them again and put another coat on it.

Ummmmm,

What about "Grill Paint". The stuff for charcoal (propane) grills ?

It's a very tough material, can use on more than just the 'grill' :-)
