Painted diamond plate

I want to paint my diamond plate, But don't know if I should use a flat, satin or semi gloss. Could those of you that have painted yours please post pics, so I can see the difference. I know some are against diamond plate all together, But that's not the issue here. Thanks.

I used Engine paint on a previous project and it worked.

What type of finish did you use?

I used a self etching primer first than simi gloss black. i think it looks good.

How did you strip them? I have brand new polished aluminum corners and wish I could trade them for the same thing except black, I really don't want to paint them but I guess I'm going to have to.
