Paint hardener question

I am getting ready to roll my FJ40 with Rustoleum paint. I want to use hardener and do not know if this is only the last coat or if it is added to each coat.

Never have used a hardener in rustoleum and/or rolled one.....BUT.....when using paint with hardener and SPRAYING it, it is used in each coat. It helps drying and durability.

Buddy of mine paints his dirt track race cars with Rustoleum to which he added hardener. They take major abuse and clean right up with a hose, still shiny. Amazing. Too bad he's down in the Gulf dealing with BP's colossal screw-up so I can't ask him the details. Still, it can be done ...

I just rolled my roof and did not use hardner. just a clear coat at the end.
