I have an Acura that has begun oxidation on the hood, roof, trunk, top of doors close to windows (all paint from the windows down is excellent). The car has low mileage and I have maintained it very well (lots of miles left in it). I had bodyshop look at it yesterday and they stated it would be a full paint job since trying to feather-in the clear coat would not work. Would it be possible to two-tone the paint. That is ....mask off from the windows down and go with another color of paint on top portion of car? I have seen a couple of cars like mine with this custom two-tone and it looks great. Would this be less expensive than shooting the whole car? Again.....car is in excellent condition. No dents, rust, etc..... Just starting to look really bad.
