Owners with pre 1995 power antenna, I have a question!

Hi all,

It would seem those with pre 1995 US model 80 series with power antenna (86300-60050) use the 2 button up/down switch (84760-60010).

Since these don't have the ecu/relay for auto function, how do your antennas behave at full height end range or full retraction? Does your motor cut-out when it senses the antenna is at end range, or does it keep slipping the clutch and clicking/clacking until you let go of the button?

Good know. I assume Toyota designed the motor to tolerate an acceptable amount of this over time without killing the motor then. Much appreciated!
