Anyone had issues with park assist sensors that seem to be overly sensitive? Wife's new (19') LX570 has gone crazy twice now driving during rain. Front sensors indicating object detection while driving.

Tried cleaning them off, and that seemed to work the first time. But during the crazy rain we are having here in NC again today, it happened once again.

Guessing we just have a sensor that's bad, but thought I would check with you guys for any thoughts before taking it in to our dealer.

Unless you need them, turn them off. My didn't like tall ferns and close branches on forest roads.

I turned mine off within probably the first 24 hours after buying my 2008 and I honestly forget that they are there. In hindsight, I would have Rather skipped the sensor holes in my front and rear steel bumpers.

Turn the sensors off and activate your 360 camera when parking... I had the exact problem on my 18 LC. I use the cameras exclusively now

Odd - I live in NC as well. Maybe the sensors on my 08 aren't as sensitive? I leave mine turned on for my wife who occasionally drives the LC. ;)

Thanks guys....wife does not really need them, but likes having them just in case. May just turn them off like you mentioned. She's had them on her last few cars (not Toyota/Lexus), and they were no where near as sensitive as these.

Now that I think about it, I remember something kinda funny related to the P sensors.

Couple years ago while bouncing around Borrego, I kept hearing these weird, random beeps. I was puzzled and thought maybe some device I was charging was beeping. Stuff like that drives my sensitive ears nuts.

Several hours of these random beeps continued before I finally realized that with the rough trail, I must have inadvertently bumped the parking sensor button. :) Was sooo nice to turn it off again!! Oh the sweet relative silence of bouncing down the rest of the trail!! :hillbilly: :steer:
