Has anyone successfully adapted mirrors from a 60/62? With the supply of 55 mirrors dried up I think that adapting the 60/62 mirrors must be an option. Does anyone have one that could measure the bolt hole spacing for me? I am thinking of making a "spacer" to bolt to the door then bolt the mirrors to it. Not sure if anyone has tried this and yes, I did search.

Just checked those on SOR and they do look like a better fit. Thanks!

70 series will still need an offset gasket piece to fit properly, iirc from when terry holben did it.

I use these repo's that are for a FJ40. Problem is they tend to move whenever the door gets closed and there is no way to tighten the hinge on them. More for the police than me. I think they were like $20 new.

Never crossed my mind to use those but they look good on yours! May be just the ticket and are readily available too, thanks.

if you pull them off, can you get to the spring inside the base and tighten the nut up against them?

You can get to the spring but there is no nut. I want to say there was a roll pin holding the spring in. I was thinking of disassembling them and threading the rod and putting a nut on it to make it tighten-able.
