The 5-7 layer ones on Amazon or Ebay for large SUV 200" or so fits over a rear tire carrier AND the winch bumper. If you buy two at a time, they can be as low as $40. They last a couple seasons in So. Cal heat/weather/Rain. I've bought about 8 or more for various 4x4s, including FJ60. When they get old and a little tattered, I double up on the them, to get another season out of old one, with the new one underneath. I've found the $400 'good' ones last about the same and don't protect any better.

Thanks, I was wondering about that expectancy .Looking at the 185.00 ones guaranteed for life. But do they actually give you a new one. Southern heat fry’s things.

But read the fine print.... not guaranteed for outdoor storage on most. Steer clear of CoverCraft... PURE $HIT ......

Yes, that's why I buy the cheap all-weather ones and replace every two years or so; they all get cooked crispy after a couple summers.

But what I really need to do is move to someplace with a 5-car garage ;)

My 60 has been sitting in the California sun for over 36 years now, and I always try to keep it covered. So I've gone through a lot of different covers. About 10 years ago I purchased a cover from coverstore.com out of Texas. It had a 7 year warranty, and was replaced free after 6 years. The replacement is now four years old, and several seams have come apart, but the wife has been able to sew things back together. Two years ago I purchased a less expensive one for my Tacoma, which is also working well so far, although I don't use it as often. I also have used their covers for my outdoor furniture and bikes, all of which have served me well for many years.

I bought this around September last year -

It's held up well. I would say over the course of the year, the truck sat outside for more than 80% of the time. A handful of light rainy days, some really windy days and it has stayed on. Pretty good deal if you ask me but im the guy who bought a covercraft for $400 for another car. Oh well.
