I have really enjoyed mine. I think they look slick, the powder coat is not really slippery in rain, and I came down hard on a rock not long after getting them and rolled away with hardly a scratch. Pretty fond of this investment. Mad props to the guys at Metal Tech for awesome customer service. There used to be a rattle with the first few of these and the current fitment which is on my rig now is absolutely perfect. 
did you guys install using the drill and rivnut method?

At first, yes, tried the Rivnuts, but eventually decided to drill through the frame on both sides and use longer grade 8 bolts all the way through. Once I am sure I have all the frame area add ons where and how I want them, I will likely weld them on. Until then I've used them as intended and they haven't shifted or bent, so I have been very happy.
