Hi everyone...
I've been in Israel for the last month working, got back on Friday, and leave again on Saturday, this time with the whole family. We'll be gone for 8-12 mos. I am going to miss you and our hundy...but there are plenty over there to watch for, 200's, 105's, 100's, 80's, 70's - mostly owned by the UN and consulates. Also the police use a lot of Prado's which are the same platform as the 4Runner and GX470. Also the Israeli VIP convoys are mostly 200's. Interestingly the US consulate has more LC's than Suburbans, some of which are bullet proof, others not.

I was going to try and squeeze in another beach run this week, but the stars have not aligned quite right.

So here's my plan to store our hundy: garaged, will be "exercised" monthly for a few minutes. I'll change the engine oil just before leaving, pump up the tires to ~45 psi, fill the tank to the brim with 91 or 93 and throw in some fuel stabilizer and then let the whole thing age and cure to perfection for when we get back.

What am I missing? I wondered if I should put in fresh tranny fluid before I go too? It's reasonably new Mobil 1 (maybe 9 months old). I should check the date.

Enjoy the travels and i'm sure the cruiser will be happily waiting for you when you get back. You might want to think about disconnecting the battery while you're gone unless you have a battery tender on it. On another note, Makenna asked last ROTM if her "friend" AKA Critter was coming, so i'm sure she will be happy to see him on then next run when you're back.

What am I missing? You forget to include that I can use this every weekend your gone and keep it running for you. Have safe travels !!!

Put 87 in the tank. Not 91 or 89.
87 will last a long while.
I'd get a battery tender. And if it's going to be parked the whole time. Spray some lube down the spark plug holes.
Check your coolant.
Otherwise it should be good. Maybe put it up on jack stands.
Crack the windows slightly.
