Thanks Kim! Thought the numbers where good, glad to see both are strong. The silver one still smokes on cold start (possible glow issues only getting 12v glow no 24v) it also has a bit of blue at idle as well, thinking its probably the nozzles.

Rob thanks for the suttle bumps and encouragement! If I was to get one it would be Dan's really like that truck. Some day I will have room for a project truck and a 55 I hope will be it.

Did not get the comp tested on Gavin's, no rush so we will do it in the comming weeks.

We focust on the green truck part out, got all the doors off, fenders, hood, front rad support, inner fenders then pulled the rad. Then we focust on removing all the attachments for the engine and got ready to pull it too. After a few hours we had it all ready to go so we pulled it out. One we got it out I saw that two of the 4 tranny to bell bolts where missing. So I undid the other two thinking it would come apart.....mmm no only got about 1.5-2" out the. Would not budge anyone not knowing how it comes appart we chose not to force it.

Anyone have any instruction for removing the tranny from the bell? Anything we need to do with the clutch fork or release bearing hub?

Anyone know any local places to get nozzles redone? Dynamic in Langley is who I have used in the past but there main number is disconnected and there other number has a full mail box I also see there web site is down.

Thanks, forgot about NW, I use to work right next door to them. Looks like about $40 per nozzle.

Anyone have any info on my tranny Q from a couple posts ago? I helped Rob install his but not remove, I'm wondering if all we need to do is remove the 4 bolts holding it to the bell housing and then remove? Do we need to remove the clutch fork or release bearing hub first? Searched Mud and also called EBI Steve but no luck so far.

Should slide right out (possibly with some pry bar assistance). Assuming no outside interference (i.e. shift tower hitting body or electrical forgotten to be unplugged) it is probably corrosion giving you grief.

How is the grey interior? Needing decent rear carpet and the vinyl/foam fender cover dealies. Good rear seatbelts?

OK its not hitting anything as its out of the truck and I can see it all, the harness is disconnected and its sliding out about 2" then stops in its tracks. I tried a pry bar with as much force as I felt comfortable with and it did not move at all. The shift fork and hub still slide free even when the tranny is stopped moving back so they are not holding it up. Not sure what else there can be.

Unfortunantly I have both of those parts in good shape but they are in the one we are selling complete.

I talked with them they where very hard to understand on the phone and said it was $45 + any work needed? WTF and I spending the $45 for then? a test?

I'm not sure, if I decide to go with them I will ask for him first and discuss. I'm going to check the inj timing on the silver one first and see if its maybe off as well.

Anyone checked the timing on a inj pump and have any advice?

Well the green parts truck is just a frame and body shell now. Everything of any use has been removed and boxed. Gavin is cutting the last bits off today, and I'm trying to find a glass guy to come take out the windshiled. Friday what is left of the frame and body get hauled to scrap metal.

I also got the trans separated from the engine finally, the pilot bearing was sized onto the trans input shaft......never seen that before.
