Just bought an '09 GX with 190k miles. Previous owner had service records, but no idea when the timing belt was done. The only thing I could find through a Vin check was it done under warranty at 60k. Best case was it was done somewhere in between, but it likely has 130k on it. I'm about to order the TKT-021 kit but I figured while I was in there I'd change out any other recommended parts that would usually be hard to get to(hoses, gaskets etc...). What do you all recommend? I saw a post online about the fan bracket. Just trying to get everything lined up instead of waiting on parts. Thanks.

I would also replace the alternator and radiator, both of which are known failure points on higher-mileage GX's, and will be easier to access when you have the front of your engine torn apart. You can get OEM Denso versions of each of Rock Auto for <$200 each.

I replaced all of the hoses on my '07 at 135K when I replaced the starter but found the OEM Lexus hoses were in like-new condition. So I'd leave the coolant hoses alone unless there appears to be something wrong with them.

It might not also be a bad idea to replace the serpentine belt, unless it's in like-new condition.

I would only replace what needs to be replaced. That is about when bearings on idler/tensioner/fan pulleys start to go. If you can leave it in pieces for a week or so, then you can avoid buying extra stuff up front. Just tear it down and see what it needs as you go. That is what I usually do but I have like 5 vehicles.

I have 4, but limited work space and time. I've considered having it done at a shop just to not even worry about it.

I'm planning to do the TKT-021 kit(which includes the timing belt tensioner) and the thermostat. I did replace the serp belt about 8k miles ago due to what I think was age. My truck has 89k and the idler pulleys/etc are still mint so I will likely just stick with the above. Hoses on my truck were in amazing shape also when I did the radiator(mine was replaced due to collision damage and not miles.)

At 89K you should not need much. Rubber might be getting a little old but honestly if my water pump felt good to spin, I would not touch that either at 89k.
