Good eye, Dick. I saw the photo but didn't pay enough attention. Yeah, OEM flange is through-drilled, not threaded.

That is not an OEM companion flange and likely not metric. Looks just like my AA adapter flange for my 700R4 and from the pic that is definitely NOT mated to a 700R4.

Yeah I noticed that in the fiche where the parts are unavailable, has a bolt with a nut on the back...but thought maybe I had the wrong ones pulled up.........

Now trans to driveshaft flange has bolts with nuts where as the driveshaft to transfer flange has threads....I guess if I can find some bolts with same threads for a chevy truck that might work......but no idea what this flange is

I do have a round, universal flange on my trail truck. I bought it from Cruiser Outfitters years ago, IIRC, as a replacement for the original flange that was badly grooved. It's just drilled to match my existing OEM driveline.

I guess I could use any grade 8 bolt that has the same threads......and a bolt head that fits....maybe a hex head instead or 12 point so I can actually get a tool in there easy.

Use the 12 point bolts. The overall head size is smaller than the Allen head bolts.
Be sure to check for interference with the drive shaft yoke after installation, particularly through the bottom portion of the rotation.

Thanks yeah I do like those alot, over allen.

Yeah the front ones are drilled, and not threaded and have a 10mm head that is a beveled shoulder so they clear but the head is small enough to get a socket on it without interference with the yoke.

Also that looks like the same setup as mine, where did you get those bolts, Fastnel or somewhere like that?
And are you using a lock washer? I was going to use red loctite. What I pulled off had a 1/2" typical 6 point bolt head and lock washer, lock washer was part of the problem getting them off, it was jammed into the recess in the flange too big for it.

I use a local steel fab shop/commercial fastener supply house, but I think Fastenal carries them. Lock washers raise the head which causes interference and makes it hard to get a wrench on the bolt head. I use red Locktite.

They ended up being 5/16-24 standard threads, I had to get allen/hex head bolts as I could not find any 12 point locally.
Thanks again for all the help I got it back together...moving on to the other issues :)

Also the castle nut in my picture is 1 1/16" size if anyone stumbles upon this post.
