Original FJ-60 am/fm Radio Question

Will I do my original am/fm radio any harm if I wire the right and left speaker channels together?

I am using only one speaker for the radio and don’t want to lose the left or right channel while the radio is playing.

I've been running the radio a couple of weeks now and it is not overheating like my last one.

I guess using one speaker for both channels won't kill it.

But, I have learned hooking the radio up to the amp wrong will turn it to a crisp!
