I always thought if you moved the buttons at the far end of the console to other places, you could make a small place to put things.

So far, I've seen a jdm console swap, and a member on here just posted a 3d printed one that requires arm rest removal. It seems odd to me that that is all there is after 22 years of these rigs being on the road.
 
I tried to order a non-US spec center console from Amayama as the website showed one in stock Part # 58910-60020-E0. They emailed me back in 2 days and said they could not complete my order as production has stopped. A new amayama search shows "discontinued" now.
