Of course right when I need a battery...

Apparently Optima increased their prices over the weekend.

I was looking around for a blue top (group 34, same specs as the yellow with an additional top post) because they seem to be a little cheaper than yellows.

Yellowtops were around $180-200 and yellow deep-cycles around $200-$225. I'm running to snag a blue, deep cycle for $145 before their computer catches up. www.batteriesareus.com has them for $159 and haven't raised their prices yet.

One place told me they'll try out the new prices for a couple weeks and then cut them if they don't sell.

A lot of people get better luck with Exide Orbital.
You could get Exide Orbital from Sams Club or Napa under their own brand.
Odyssey are better choice for that price though.

speaking of batterys i bought a napa Lcheapo in jan 2004 for my old pos honda civic in june i sold the car pulled the batt. stuck it in the shead and forgot about it.2 months ago bat. died in the cruiser .dam now i need a new batt.wife said take the one in the shead and trade it in on a new one well i had a .dam thing freaking worked was not even drained .i just thought that was unheard of that long and still worked
