I am leaving Sunday for Joshua Tree. After J Tree we will be making our way up north of San Fransisco. I would like to stop over somewhere along the way up to wheel a cool trail or two. I will be in the 100 series, stock with 285s, so with that considered.. where should I go?

I was hoping for something not way out of my way up and something really cool and worth a one day diversion..

most trails I know are east of san francisco. You could step it up a notch and do the rubicon.

Rattlesnake Cyn is between Yucca and Lucerne. You could potentially run it from Yucca and pop out on the 247. I did it in my stock cruiser on 31" tires. Got a dented rear control arm mount, but with your tires, you'd probably be safe. From 247 you would probably just head west toward the 15 or 395.
