I finished up all of the steel framing for Heather's new barn 20' X 36'. We bought it as a heavy duty car port with all 12 gauge steel. I added all of the red 11 gauge 2x2s for the 3 doors, 1 roll up door and all the fill in verticals and top plates. 396' of extra steel. The whole beaty here is that it has already been inspected by the county and is taxed as a car port, a movable structure :)

I forgot to mention, it just so happens that 4 land cruisers will fit inside. You know, once all the horses go on to that great rodeo in the sky, yeah that's the ticket.

That looks very cool. Wont be long before they start designing aftermarket skulls and fangs and sheeeet, let a 13 year old boy design it like most modern jeeps!

So how many of you would trust a gas station egg salad sandwich?? lol

My fav Army MRE was the Tuna with Noodles and I love Subway tuna salad if that tells you anything :/

Lol boss I haven't seen that since like the MREs in the old dark brown bag.... but you picked that over chicken ala king??

Nope speaks no words to me but I wanna try that I always go for buffalo chicken.

Vague, but serious question ...

I get a call from the school office this morning .... An anonymous donor wishes to make a donation to the physics department. They would like to donate some"thing" rather than cash (as I understand it). They are asking me what I would like to have.
I have no idea the $$$ amount they are wishing to commit .... so my plan is to submit a range of physics "toys" say from $20 on up.

In that I generally do between 25 and 35 labs in a year my lab, after many years, is pretty well decked out .... but still, never say no to a donor.

The question ..... what experiment do you remember from your physics class (College or HS) that really stuck with you (in a good way)?

Thanks,
Rice

I just ran across this article and thought it was pretty cool - not that I am in the know... supposedly in the $100 range per detector?

I don’t know about the US, but the convenience store sammiches in Japan are the bomb-diggedy!

Dang Japan! I mean I'll drive to like burlington for good food but Japan might be a stretch lol

Ever get any good ramen?

Best Ramen I ever had was on Okinawa, little hole in the wall joint In Naha that I stumbled across. They had this black sesame ramen that was friggin awesome!

Sounds awesome hole in the wall places are the best, I'm jealous though cuz only cool thing I got to eat overseas was some St. Peter fish visiting the Sea of Galilee. Cool not tasty lol at least yours was good haha

Our International sold on Bring A Trailer - $10k - which was low on the market value I was expecting, but I'm happy with it. BaT also had 5 other classic trucks being auctioned at the same time (typically they only have 1 truck auction live).

But the cool thing is, it's going to Upstate NY to live on a dairy farm. The farmer has all IH tractors and his wife has a Scout. It's going to be his fair weather truck, to hopefully keep it from rusting away further than it has.

Model X pulling an Airstream in Wilmington last weekend. California tags. Camped out in Suburbia across from the mall for at least two nights :)
