So I drove up to Bozeman (from SLC) to meet some friends for a long weekend of skiing and bachelor partying.
I had plenty of time to kill on the highway, so I did some speed checks with mileposts and my wristwatch. After several trials to get a good number, I did some calculations in my head (OK, I'm a nerd, but I had a fun time doing this) and came up with a speedo error of -5%.
I'm not too concerned about driving too fast (I'm driving a Land Cruiser, and I drive slow anyway), but I'd like to keep my shift points in the best configuration.
The correction gear Slee offers adds 3.2%. It's also (only?) $40.
Would the partial correction offered by the correction gear be worth it? Or should I save my pennies for a Tru-Speed?
