There is a 1964 LV near me that has become available.
It has not run for years, interior stripped out, paint peeling off all over down to primer for the most part. One fist sized hole in the floor boards. No visible heavy rust. ie. parts completely rusted away.Lower tailgate is shot across hinge area.

Question:What specific ares on these rigs had problems I should know about when I go back to take a serious look at it.Weak areas in the frame etc.

These are great rigs and I'd like to save this one if it's not too far gone.It wouldn't be a total restore just another LV back on the road.

Thanks in advance for your help/advice.

I would say that if you see rust it is just the tip of the iceberg. Areas to look at, floors, rockers, sills, roof drip rails, under head liner inside, rear fender and where supports attach under side, tail gate etc etc. But with something this old rust is to be expected. Just how much do you want to deal with is the question.

Steve, if you don't go for this let me know where it is. I'll be up in July.
