OME tilting to the passenger side!!!!!

My Specter mystery 2' lift springs(supposedly made in Oz) had driver's side rear sag from the moment they were installed, Later had the two rear springs flopped side to side, to make sure I didn't "get a bad one." Result: exactly the same sag. BTW, it doesn't affect drivng and the springs haven't sagged overall and are still working fine almost 1.5 years later.

Rears are higher becuase they must be capable of taking load and still flexing.

I have had OME's for about 6 months, am in Australia, and have the same lean, to the left tho. Always wondered about the lean also. But it never worried me too much. I will drop into ARB (OME manufacturer) head office and quiz them out on it next time I go past.

Sure does drive well tho.

I also have the dakar and are in australia. I didn't take any notice when installing the leaves if there was a driver/passenger side, but I have noticed that sometimes the cruiser leans to one side. If i shake the body side by side (with hands not while driving) it levels back out.

Aussie Drivers side..

Um, doesn't the A side go on the AUSSIE drivers side (US passenger side?) ?

Might be a pretty common mistake- On the 80 series it's very common to put the wrong spring on the wrong side, by following the directions.

Just a point that may have been covered.

The ARB guy in Washington told me that the springs that go on the Aussie drivers side go on the US drivers side too. The spring is designed for
THE DRIVERS SIDE
which ever side that may be.

He also said as noted above..The rear is supposed to sit higher. That is the design. Load it up, then it might come down to "level" Lots of people seem to be shackling up the front to level it out when empty, The ARB guy said sooner or later this will lead to the rear end looking like it is sagging (like when loaded up).

Total hearsay..I unfortunatly do not yet have my Dakkar lift...(please send contribution$, 10% of any contribution will go towards beer for my mechanic and me, that should sweeten the deal and make you feel better about sending the big buck$)
