OME leveling springs and OEM coil spacers

Okay, men - has anyone taken the OME ARB2700s plus the OEM toyota coil spacers to see what the result looks like? Me thinks this will yield around a 1.75" - 2.00" lift in the front. I am looking to level the truck completely without altering the driving characteristics. This truck will mostly see on road miles.


From the pictures I have seen, the OEM Toyota coil spacers look to do very little, if nothing, visually for leveling by themselves.

Future plans are Toyo R/Ts 285-65-18s on the stock wheels.

Thoughts?

You'll likely need to consider some adjustable upper control arms to keep the alignment in specs.

I did a lift on my 2015 (Toytec spacers not OEM spacers) and have just about 1.25" of rake (mostly due to rear progressive springs, which get down to level under load). with the truck loaded or unloaded i'm right on the edge of the camber adjustment. As it sits, i notice at certain times that it appears to have a slight negative camber -- like when pulling into a paved parking spot. At lower speeds on pavement I've noted that the steering seems a bit heavy. getting a bit more neutral on the camber would reduce the steering heaviness, as I've been told. When loaded and down to level, i imagine the nose coming up adds a bit more negative camber, though i've specifically not noticed that.

I tow a horse trailer quite a bit and need the extra spring rate - but the Dobinson's progressive coils are quite stout even in the unloaded zone and provides quite a bit of height. I'm considering ditching the progressive springs and going to airbags, because like you, even the stinkbug look of the 1.25" rake drives me a bit nuts. The spacers were added to bring the rake back from 1.5 to about 1.25 because of this. I dont think any of that would obviate the need for the UCAs. I think I prefer a setup where the angles not are changing as much from loaded to unloaded...

On my 100, I also needed to add a diff drop to accommodate the higher lift of the Torsion bars, but it doesnt seem like anyone is doing that on 200s. (or maybe i just haven't figured that out yet)

Thanks cboyd. Based on your response, what I may add to the mix is the ICON billet upper control arm kit to the spings and oem spacer and see what happens. I really just want to level this big girl out which seems to be difficult to do with this platform without going into a full suspension upgrade.

I need to educate myself on airbags - my initial question is reliability. Had a Discovery II back in the day and have been tainted by the mere thought.
 
I also didn’t initially do airbags for the same reason of reliability and complexity. I run timbrens on my Hundy for that reasons, but mostly because she’s heavy with all the drawers, fridge and gear.

I ran timbrens on my other 2006 hundy that I replaced with the 200, but the ride was harsh when it wasn’t fully load and I wanted to avoid that with this truck.
