Ome 861/862

Hey Youall
So Im trying to persued my old man he needs an OME coil only upgrade, he reckons he dont want something he wont need so I told him the ride is better with 861/862 and maybe a small spacer for the winch,, shoud make it all groovy
I phone the local OME agent today to get a price, he tells me the lift from 861/862 is 40mm and the older models 92/93 were around 20mm WTF Ive been studying this for a while now and dont know this, if this is the case wont there be OEM shock problems he has a 95 truck with new OEM shocks

I put these on my 96 and it is about a 15-20mm lift. Not much, hardly noticable.
While you are in there you should do the shocks as well.
A nice upgrade!

IIRC those are the medium duty no lift, right? I had originally done that with Rancho Shocks. Ride improvement over 10 year old OEM coils was amazing. Lift to the truck was about 3/4". If he's got new OEM shocks, stick with them, but encourage the old man that the coils will be worth the ride and handling improvement. JMHO. BTW, I've since upgraded to the 850/863 heavy lift. Both are great.
