Older Poulan muffler options?

The older 2500 thru 3050 models have a piss poor design that exits the hot exhaust into the plastic chain brake (which melts with extended use). My google search didn't yield much. Later Husky/Poulan fixed this by porting the exhaust out the front of the muffler..

Husqvarna and Poulan had the same problem. The exhaust discharge would melt the chain brake handguard. There was a nationwide free replacement in 1997-1999.

You may want to see if the newer Husqvarna muffler would bolt on.
