The main bits i need are
Diff center
LH seat frame and base.
RH seat base.
Crome headlight ring
Usable break drums.
LH door, i can make one of them.
Wish list PTO drive.
It would be good to find one to part out.

OK
I will go for a ride on my Harley and check out one I seen a few months back that looked like a old landcruiser thats been parked up for years being used as a fruit and veggie stand on their front lawn. It had me double guessing what the hell it was but it sort of looked like it had cruiser guards and grill. The same deal as the old 45 was I spotted it when working but had no time to check it out but its in very poor condition but hopefully there a few parts you may need
Stay tuned as I will try and get down there for a look as its 40 mile round trip.

I found a 1938 harley nucklehead with a sidecar on this farmers property it was in the chicken coop and he would not sell it. I spent 12 years and offerd him 15 grand for it but his chickens still have there harley roost. It was a shame to see it covered in dung but at least it was out of the rain.

I decided to bump this post as there's a bit of interest in the old girl and there a few more photo's.

G'day ozcruiser thank you for responding to the intrest in this oildie, do you have a clearer pic of the chassis number tag.
Ive always wondered if there was any early trucks out lightning ridge, hillend and places like that

I will try and get up there today and take a few more photo's for you guys. I will get the chassis number and compliance plate so we can date the old girl.

Aussie

Cult45 let me know if your still interested and I will put you in contact with the owner. If you guys need anymore photo's let me know. I was planning on taking a tape to find out the wheelbase but had a senior moment before riding up there.

interesting it has not been extended 3-fj45-14104 and this one here http://www.flickr.com/photos/68052208@N08/14788763587 3-fj45-13571 doesn't appear to be extended either. 13571 was sold on ebay earlier this year in northern nsw , I found out it sold for a pricey sum after it didn't hit reserve. There also claiming it to be the first 45 sold by dealer in Australia, im not so sure
my chassis number is 3-fj45-13413 and it is extended, maybe nsw didn't need the extension. my 64 cab was sold new vic and was extended

oz, what a mission you've gone and done! It wasn't far was it?

Tell you what though, it's complete from what I can see. But will require a full, FULL resto. I think back a few pages crushers said the rear window rubber is unobtanium. Surely a replacement can be found..? But it's got all the goodies, including a spare, mint condition wheel cylinder on the roof :D
By the looks of it, it is indeed a SWB model, but perhaps not the 104" like the US, more like a 106" [the extended chassis models were lengthened by 10" right?]. Sure would look the biz with a SWB bed on it.

I'd like to chat to the owner if he/she is around for sure. Thanks again oz. What a guy!

The photo's of theses old girls are few and far between so it was worth the travels to document this old tojo. :)

Brian the owner told me he brought this fj45 from Wee Waa NSW if that helps your records. It is for sale but he is 70 years and does not want this truck to be stripped for parts as he wants it rebuilt or restored in reasonable stock condition.

..he does not want this truck to be stripped for parts as he wants it rebuilt or restored in reasonable stock condition.
What a legend!
