Greetings all!
I've been cleaning up around the shop and have a number of old almost completely worn out Stihl chains.. Mostly for a 16" bar.
Other than scrap steel, is there anything you guys have done creatively with them?
Thanks
and please Vote

Make an axe out of 'em? Nice twist on life, I'd think. Need a forge, though. :)

Then there is always the metal modern sculpture present for a woodworker friend. Need a welder, though. :)

You can sharpen and re-use them, if they're not stretched so badly that you can't take up the slack on the bar.

Thanks all,
Welding isnt a bad Idea, I do need practice and welding all those little links will give me lots. I do have some 'friends' I dont ever need to see again so that would make a good go away present.

As for sharpening, when I said worn out I meant it.
There is no sharpening left on these babies.
