Okanagan Camping 2014

We found that thing at Woods lake, just hiding in a tree. Someone must have put it there for the fun of it, kind of a neat thing.

It was a light duty trip, no real wheeling but just some exploring of places we haven't seen. It was great to get out camping again. Next time I should have the pickup with me.
Glenn, I would have harassed you when passing through Kelowna but we were a bit shy on time.

The places we checked out would normally be busy on long weekends, all easy access 2WD. It did give me a better idea of what's on that side and what I can expect next time. There are tons of trails and lakes in those areas so it's just a matter of finding the more interesting ones. We were still kept away from some of the places we wanted to check out by the snow, which we hit at around 1500m. Next time.

the wildlife pics are awesome. always makes your day when they show up.

The chipmunks on this trip were not bad, got pretty friendly after we bribed them with some trail mix. On a trip a couple years back at Plateau lake, we had them even more friendly and actually ate out of our hands. Even got the Whiskey Jacks trained.
