In the metal motor housing of the wiper there is what I believe to be a bronze bushing with some felt to soak with oil, which supports the motor armature.

I've rebuilt my wiper motor with new Molykote EM-30L grease in the gearbox, but am not sure what to do with the armature bushing. A few drops of engine oil? Or something lighter like light machine oil (sewing machine/hair clipper oil)?

Or should I leave it alone?

Thanks. I put in a few drops of engine oil, until the felt looked wet but not so much as to have oil pooled in the bearing.

I tested the motor now as per the FSM - high speed, low speed and park all work correctly. But I noticed after running on high speed for maybe 30 seconds, the end of the motor (a kind of nipple shape where the armature runs) was getting hot to the touch. Does this seem normal? No strange sounds, and the small wires I used to test it (I think 22 AWG) did not get hot.

I can't really answer this with certainty, and I'm not in a position to test mine at the moment, but my feeling is that the motor should not get be getting hot. I could see it getting slightly warm if it was used for a while, but getting hot sounds like it's working harder than it should. Again, just my thoughts. Hopefully someone else will chime in with a more concrete answer.
