Oil warning light on dash_with key on

I couldn't find a relevant thread to post this on so...

Is our low oil light supposed to come on when we first turn our key on , and the dash lights up?

I was doing an oil change today and was expecting to see a quick flash of the low oil light when I first started it up, but no sign of it....I thought it used to display when I would turn my key to the on position but I don't see any sign of it

Hmm, I could have swore there was a low pressure light on the dash but maybe I'm mistaken ?
