For this motor, I use castrol GTX 5w30, and denso oil filter which you could order from densoproducts.com.

Call me old school, however on a BRAND new car/truck (or brand new engine)I always like to change it after the first 500 miles to get the break-in material out of the engine. Then after the first change at 500 miles then go to the normal 3,000 mile change limit. Yeah I would stick with an OEM filter, and Castrol for a few thousand miles, then I would go with real Mobil 1. The Mobil 1 has been great in my Pathfinder, it has 170,000 miles on it and the engine is perfect!

Use Dinosaur oil first

Use regular oil first for about 5000 miles then go to a high grade synthetic.

You can still get the "real" Mobil 1 in the US. It has become more difficult to find but you can get it. I usually buy it at Costco, they have the best price and it is the real deal Mobil 1. All that "clean 5000" s*** is not real Mobil 1.

First oil change is free at my dealership. Did it at about 1500 miles. Just changed all drivetrain fluids (again dealership - I get a deal) at 2500 miles. Next oil change will be at 5K as recommended and I will follow the schedule unless I do serious wheelin'

I always use Mobil one synthetic. I change every 6 months as I don't put many miles on my vehicle. In 6 months I will have only around 2,000 miles.
